The Supply Chain Managment Program
The Supply Chain Management program consists of six fully online, asynchronous courses designed for adult learners aiming to advance in a rapidly growing and lucrative field. As the backbone of the Canadian economy, the supply chain sector offers dynamic career paths moving from tactical execution to strategic leadership. This program uniquely integrates foundational competencies with future-focused imperatives like Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles. Developed to address a severe industry skills gap highlighted by senior executives, the curriculum aligns with the rigorous standards of leading professional bodies such as Supply Chain Canada and the Association for Supply Chain Management. Supported by expert learning facilitators, students engage in authentic career contexts and case studies, building the digital literacy, analytical prowess, and strategic resilience required to lead modern value networks.
Career in Supply Chain Management
The Supply Chain Management (SCM) profession offers a highly stable, diverse, and lucrative career landscape with immense potential for advancement. Spanning virtually every sector of the Canadian economy—from healthcare and public services to e-commerce and natural resources—SCM provides well-defined pathways from operational coordination to strategic executive leadership. The financial rewards are significant, with entry-level roles offering up to $65,000 annually and mid-level managers frequently earning between $115,000 and $175,000. Furthermore, obtaining professional designations can boost average salaries by 22%.
Looking ahead, the sector is experiencing a profound transformation that guarantees long-term job security for modern professionals. A massive wave of retirements, coupled with an estimated 27,000 currently unfilled positions in Canada, has created a structural talent shortage. However, employers are not just looking to fill operational seats; they urgently need professionals equipped for the “smart” supply chain. The future of SCM relies heavily on navigating digital transformations—such as AI, predictive analytics, and IoT—while upholding strict Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) standards and building resilience against geopolitical volatility. By mastering these highly sought-after qualitative skills, graduates are perfectly positioned to seize high-level strategic roles, capitalizing on the global market’s projected growth to USD 63.77 billion by 2032.
NewPath Admissions
NewPath Learn does not “admit” students in the way that most post-secondary institutions do. We believe that it is our role to communicate to learners what our programs involve and the demands they will place upon learners. Adult learners typically have a wide range of academic credentials, work experience, and other experiences. Given clear information, adult learners are best positioned to make their own decisions about whether they are prepared to begin a program. Our goal is to balance access to our programs with student success. Bottom line: joining one of our programs is up to the learner. We help inform the decision.
